The Spirit of Black Rock is a senior Fife and Drum Corps formed in 1986 based out of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Our music and uniforms are from the Civil War era and are representative of the 1st Connecticut Cavalry, which escorted General Grant at Appomattox.

We have participated in numerous parades and performances throughout New England,Pennsylvania, Virginia and New York. Recent engagements have included performances at the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in New York City, at WIndmill Weekend, Eastham, MA, and on the battlefield at Gettysburg, PA. Our Members come from a large geographical area throughout Connecticut and New York.
